Short yet Memorable Getaway

So what's up guys? Hah, I haven't posted anything for quite a while. But hey, here I am, attempting another post for this old blog.
So basically, just 3 days ago, my friends (Nina, Yaya and Piqah) and I went to KL for a short vacation. The main purpose of this short vacay was to watch the Wind Orchestra Festival held at TKC (and shopping!!!). So let's just read the chronology of this so-called getaway.

13th March 2014
All 4 of us headed to the airport from Nina's house. At the airport, we found out that our flights had been delayed. Hah fun, is it? So yeah, Yaya's flight was at 8.00 p.m. while the other 3 of us would have to depart at 10.00 p.m.
*Now let's skip the departure part.*
So around 11.10 p.m. , Nina, Piqah and me landed safely at LCCT. Yaya who landed at Subang was picked up by Kak Jek. They were already waiting for us at LCCT. We gathered around in front of the mini KFC and damn my stomach was growling. So, regardless what time it was, I bought myself two small portions of whipped potato. (so this explains why I'm getting fatter day by day)
After enjoying my supper, we took a bunch of selfies (typical) and headed to Nina's uncle's house. Now this was where the journey began. We went from LCCT to Puchong but before that, we were looking for a drive-thru McD but to no avail. And the worse part was, WE WERE LOST.
With hungry and growling stomachs, we kept searching for the right route. Waze was not helpful at all. It's already quarter to 0100 and we were still wandering on the road. So almost an hour later, we finally found the Nina's uncle's house. It is situated like on the other side of the world. Literally. Well okay no, metaphorically. But whatever :p
Upon seeing that house, or I'd prefer to call it a 'mansion', our eyes widened and our jaws dropped. (Or maybe it was just me xD) It is frickin huge I was literally being so 'jakun'. The first thing we did when we entered the house was looking for anything to eat! Yep, hungry beasts. We ended up rummaging the mini storage room of that mansion and found some packets of instant noodles. We chatted, we ate and went to bed.

Oh damn, that was only like one fifth of the whole journey. Phew~ Bear with me :D

14th March 2014
So this day was the climax of this trip. Being as tired as we were, we woke up after the 7th alarm and started panicking because it was already damn late. The Wind Orchestra Competition started at 8.00 a.m. and by the time we woke up, it was already a few minutes to 7.00 a.m.! Luckily, the house has enough bathroom for all 4 of us.
After all 4 for of us were done dressing up, I realised that
After eating, we waited for Hussien, Yaya's friend. He would be picking us up and dropping us off at TKC. Now this was the beginning of another journey. So Hussien too, had a hard time of finding Nina's uncle's mansion. So we waited for him for about an hour.
While waiting for Hussien, I did a house tour around the mansion. Snapping random photos of it from various angles. Haha. Yep, I had nothing better to do. Did I mention that the mansion was used for the filming of Playboy Itu Suami Aku? Yep, I'm NOT kidding. It was used for Adrian's Mummy's house! Okay stop right there, Fatin.
So after having a good time of waiting (taking selfies and house tour), Hussien finally arrived with his ever so epic red car. Like seriously. Haha. So all 4 of us squeezed in the car and made our way to TKC. But luck was not on our side...
The journey to TKC took around 3 hours for God's sake. Hussien drove with a blinding speed, okay? And it still took 3 hours for us to arrive at TKC. It was damn hard to find the new TKC. It is not even in the GPS system yet, which made it harder to find. I thought Hussien was going to give up and drop us somewhere and ask us to find our own ways to TKC but luckily he didnt. Haha.
So after arriving safely at TKC, we thought Hussien was going to leave but nope, he stayed with us. So, we rushed towards the hall where the competition was held. Again, we were unfortunate. The competition had ended. We were late. No word came out from our lips upon hearing that. One of the participants, which was Nina's friend told us that there was going to be a flash mob at 3.00 p.m.
It was only 12.00 noon. So we had to wait for another 3 hours to watch the so-called flash mob. However, we did wait. All 5 of us (including Hussien) went to TKC's cafeteria and had a chat. While chatting, Nina and Piqah excused themselves to walk around the school, watching the participants practised and so on, leaving me, Yaya and Hussien at the cafe. Little did we know that Nina and Piqah had gone to meet Nina's apple of the eye. (Nina don't kill me! I'm gonna stop right here :3)
So, Yaya, Hussien and I keep on chatting. Hussien is a really nice guy. Oh wait, is it okay for me to compliment him here? Haha. Okay, he really is a nice dude. He shared his past experiences with us, gave us advices for our future and damn he has a good sense of humour. Also, he's a future pilot say whuuut. Haha.
30 minutes later, Nina and Piqah came back to the cafe grinning widely. Ah, Nina had meet 'him'. Meow. So yeah, we teased and looked at Nina's pictures with him and also the video of him playing his oboe for Nina. Ah, lucky gurl.
And then we started chatting again. Only then we realised that Hussien still didnt know our names (except for Yaya's names lah kan) Haha. So we introduced ourselves and kept on talking. We talked talked talked and talked until Zohor.
At 3.00 p.m. we watched the participants practising for their flash mob which didnt even seem like a flash mob at first. But it got better as time passed. And at 4.30 p.m., the real flash mob was performed by the participants but this time, BATTERY HEAD WAS THERE! Goddammit I was so damn excited, Battery Head performance was phenomenal! I was practically screaming and squealing in my mind. XD
Around 5.00 pm, we headed to R&R Dengkil. We asked Yaya's cousin to pick us there. Again, we got on the Hussien's epic red car. Seriously, getting in this car is one of the best memories of this trip. Haha. For the second time, we were lost. Well, all 4 of us were asleep leaving Hussien driving alone. Haha.
"Dah lah sesat, semua orang tido! Then phone pulak mati."
Yep, so unfortunate. Luckily, I was half awake when Hussien asked for my tablet (since his phone died) to use the GPS. So yeah, I just let him used my tablet and went back to sleep. Haha. After another about 3 hours in the car, we finally arrived R&R Dengkil. Damn it was hazy like crazy. Hah, that rhymes.
We performed our prayers and spent some time at the food court, listening to more stories from Hussien and learning more from him. Hussien, who didnt even take his breakfast bought himself 'nasi ayam' and started eating. So again, we chatted while waiting for Yaya's cousin.
Not long after that, Yaya's cousin arrived. We bid goodbye to Hussien and invited him to join us for our night hangout session. Yehee! Alright we headed straight to Suria KLCC from Dengkil. Around 8.30 pm, we arrived at Suria. And then..........CLOTHES HUNTING !
Nina bought a very nice floral sweat shirt from H&M. Yaya bought 3 t-shirts from FOS and I got myself a t-shirt which was also from FOS. Haha. After that, we went for food hunting! Our first destination was Ben's, being as unlucky as we were, we couldnt find it. And the minute we finally found it, it was about to be closed. Yep, not a joke.
And then, Yaya received a call from Hussien saying he couldnt make it that night because he was tired. Well of course, we were dissappointed because we planned to give him something as a token of appreciation but he couldnt come. So we said our gratitudes through Yaya and kept on finding a place to fill our growling tummies. I swear there was a rock n roll concert in my stomach atm.
Each step taken was as fast as the lightning indicating how hungry we were. I seriously cant describe how unfortunate were, each restaurant or cafe we went, wouldnt accept customers anymore as it was already 10.00 pm. And then we went to Chillis, a waitress asked us if we were willing to wait for 10 to 15 minutes but hah, we declined. Tsk tsk lesson learnt, patience is a virtue. Haha. And a few minutes later, Yaya received a second call from Hussien. And then tadaaa! Hussien was already at Suria. Well, not yet in front of us but he was already there. He was already there since he called Yaya for the first time.
So we met Hussien again and this time he didnt use his epic red car anymore xD We asked for his help to take us to any western restaurant he knew since no restaurant at Suria would accept us anymore. We were hungry to death. Hussien told us that he actually saw us and attempted to follow us quietly but he ended up losing our tracks because were just too fast. Haha. Sighs. Tragic. Again, Hussien had a hard time finding the restaurant using GPS. Piqah, the hungriest girl among us was already losing her mind. Haha. No, everybody except Hussien was not in their right minds anymore.
After a few minutes, Hussien started driving. In the car, Piqah suddenly started burping non-stop. Hahaha I swear that was the funniest thing ever. Like every time she burped, the vibrations will be sent to me. Haha. Okay nonsense but no I'm serious! In between the burps, Piqah suddenly said...
"Sorry Hussien, takleh control..." *burrrrp*
Then all of us burst into laughters. Hahaha. Piqah was damn funny I cant even- *shakes head* Ah, memories...Alright, after 20 minutes of something, we finally arrived at a ship-like restaurant called Chop n Steak.
Yaya : "Ten, amik tempat yang cantik untuk selfie."
Selfie whenever we could. Haha. So I did pick a nice place for us so we could have a bunch of very nice selfies. Did I mention that Hussien brought his GoPro? Yep, so since our gadgets batteries were all drained, we used Hussien's GoPro for selfies. Haha. Thanks, Hussien. Okay, then we placed our orders. For the nth time of being unlucky, we only got to eat about 2 hours after we placed our orders. We had our 'dinner' at 12.00. Yes, indeed insane.
So again, we chatted and listened to more stories of Hussien's past experiences. It was really nice. We just chatted and laughed, exchanging stories. Yaya's cousin was going to pick us up again, so yea we waited for him. Nina gave a melted cadbury to Hussien xD
And then it was time to say goodbye to Hussien... Seriously, we were reluctant to do so. Spending the whole day with Hussien gave us a very good time and we didnt want to end it. But we had to. Because it was already a few minutes past 1.00 am. We had to go back to the mansion to start packing our things since we'd be going home the next day and our flight (Mine and Nina's) was at 7.00 am. So yea, we bid our goodbyes for the last time (for me and Nina since Yaya and Piqah were going to meet him again the next day ><)
Our journey home was quiet since we dozed off a few minutes after the car started moving. Haha. I dont know how long did the journey take but we safely arrived home. Yaya and Piqah were going to spend the night at Yaya's cousin's house so yea they picked their things and made their way there.
And that was the end of 14th March 2014....

15th March 2014
We only got to sleep for like less than 2 hours that night. We woke up at 4.30 am and then started dressing up. At 5.00 am, Nina's uncle's driver fetched us and sent us to the airport.
Nina had her breakfast at the airport while I didnt take anything for breakfast which was quite shocking for Nina. Haha. We boarded and departed at around 7.00 am. We safely landed at Alor Setar around 8.00 am.
Declining Nina's dad's offer to buy us breakfast, we asked him to drop us at home instead because we were just too sleepy to even eat. Haha. So yep, we headed straight to bed once we reached Nina's house and I slept for about 3 hours. Damn, that was a relief.

So yea, that was it. Oh wow, this post is really the longest post I've ever posted in my entire blogging history. But anyhow, I enjoy writing (or typing) it. It's just one of my ways to cherish those memorable moments I had in my life.
Thank you Yaya, Nina, Piqah and last but not least Hussien for such a wonderful day together. Thank you for those insane memories. Girls, we better have more getaways after SPM, okay? Hussien, thank you for giving us the opportunity to feel like being the passengers of an F1 race in your red car. And it was nice meeting you :) |
